Within the scope of the Ministry of Health’s efforts to encourage breastfeeding and to provide mothers with information and correct habits about breastfeeding, The Program for Encouragement of Breastfeeding and Baby-Friendly Hospitals was initiated in 1991 in order to ensure that breastfeeding becomes a successful and established practice in hospitals providing maternity services.
Our hospital received the title of “Baby Friendly Hospital” given by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey, recommended by WHO and UNICEF in “2005” thanks to its successful work at the Obstetrics, Gynecology Service and the Newborn Service.
