Thoracic Surgery
The part of the body between the neck and the abdomen is called the “thorax”. Thoracic Surgery deals with the diseases of organs and structures in this area that require surgical treatment. Thoracic surgery is a medical science that deals with traumas and surgical treatments of diseases of other organs and regions (chest wall, ribs, lungs, lung membranes, mediastinum, diaphragm, esophagus) other than heart and main vessels located in the thoracic cavity.
